Arrival at Zell am See Kaprun

ARRIVAL BY PLANE

Zell am See-Kaprun is not only in the heart of Austria, it is also in the heart of Europe. For this reason you can reach the region from almost all European cities by plane in a short time. The airports Salzburg and Munich are conveniently located. The airport Salzburg is 80 km away, Munich is about 200 km away. A large number of bus connections and individual taxi and shuttle services offer their services and pick you up reliably from one of the two airports. The best thing to do is to contact your accommodation or hotel before your arrival and organise a transfer from and to the airport. We will be happy to assist you in planning your arrival and departure. Of course you can also use public bus connections from and to the airports or take the train from the airport to the holiday region Zell am See-Kaprun.

ARRIVAL BY CAR

Zell am See-Kaprun is about 1.5 hours by car from the city of Salzburg. We are about 2.5 hours by car from Munich. From both cities main traffic routes and motorways bring you to the region Zell am See-Kaprun. Coming from Salzburg you have the choice. Either you choose the route via the Tauernautobahn through the Salzach Valley or you take the route via the so-called "Deutsche Eck". The journey via the motorway is further, but a little more comfortable. The "Deutsche Eck" is more impressive. To travel via the motorway, you will need to purchase an Austrian motorway vignette. If you are coming from the southern parts of the country, the Tauern Autobahn also takes you to our region. Coming from the east it is the A1 Westautobahn. From the north, the German Autobahn A9 from Munich will take you across the border and in the direction of Zell am See-Kaprun. From the west, coming from the city of Innsbruck, you first take the A12 Inntalautobahn, which you leave at Wörgl. From there, you will reach the beautiful mountainous landscape of Tyrol via federal roads and finally reach the beautiful province of Salzburg.


ARRIVAL BY TRAIN

Arriving by train is a particularly impressive and relaxing way to travel on holiday. Zell am See-Kaprun not only has excellent train connections to all Austrian cities, the train station Zell am See is located directly in the centre of the town, within walking distance to many hotels, cafes and restaurants. The ÖBB (Österreichische Bundebahnen) will bring you comfortably and safely to your holiday at regular intervals. Especially attractive for winter sports fans: special ÖBB economy rail tickets bring you from Vienna to Zell am See-Kaprun for your skiing holiday starting at a price of € 24.90 per person, on weekends even with the direct connections Vienna-Zell am See. The train connections from Salzburg, Innsbruck, Munich, Villach, Klagenfurt, Graz and various other cities are also advantageous. Travelling to Zell am See-Kaprun by train is becoming more and more popular. Enjoy the journey, look out of the window and look forward to great mountains, magnificent nature and beautiful panoramas.
