Meet the Best in the West
Golf Club Zell am See - Kaprun
The largest golf centre with the most beautiful 36 greens between glacier, mountains and lake offers everyone the best golfing opportunities in Austria: Majestic mountains and snow-covered peaks on the horizon, the shimmering water of the Zell am See lake within striking distance: a picture-book landscape surrounds the golf club Zell am See - Kaprun Saalbach-Hinterglemm, which with its courses "Schmittenhöhe" and "Kitzsteinhorn" guarantees pure golfing pleasure for players of all levels according to the motto "Championship Course meets Friendship Course".
JOHN DAILY, BERHARD LANGER , GREG NORMAN, ANNIKA SÖRENSTAM, WERE ALL HERE
None other than the German Bernhard Langer holds the course record there with a round of 66, he played six under par in 1992. Above all, precise tee-offs are required on the 18 holes, as well as approaches to the greens. "Those who are good at reading the greens have a clear advantage, because the breaks are not always visible at first glance. I think that some players will attack the greens on the par 4s, but be careful: precision is required here as well. Some of the fairways are very narrow, there are doglegs - length is not everything", reveals Walter Dabernigg, manager of the Zell am See - Kaprun Saalbach-Hinterglemm Golf Club.
