365 days a year, the Kitzsteinhorn offers the complete range of experiences of the Alps, from winter sports to panoramic views, hiking and mountain biking to sightseeing in the Gipfelwelt 3000.
Families and beginners will find the perfect skiing area at Maiskogel in the centre of Kaprun. At the valley station the alpine rollercoaster "Maisiflitzer" promises fun and action all year round.

The view from the two viewing platforms at over 3,000 metres above sea level seems almost limitless. Austria's highest peaks are close enough to touch here:
The glaciated flanks of the three-thousand-metre peaks of the Hohe Tauern National Park, the rugged cirques of the Steinernes Meer, the grassy slopes of the Kitzbühel Alps, the Watzmann, the Wilder Kaiser or the Dachstein, to name but the largest. Under the platforms, the glacier of the Kitzsteinhorn and the Zell basin with the deep blue glittering lake spreads out.
SUMMER JOYS ON SALZBURG'S ONLY GLACIER
In summer, too, you will encounter winter on the Kitzsteinhorn - and in the Ice Arena! If you prefer to spend the summer in the classic way, a spacious hiking area awaits you. The Alpincenter offers the ideal starting point for this. If you don't want to hike alone, take advantage of the offer of guided hiking tours. Climbers climb one of the 100 fixed rope routes in summer, some of which are even accessible in winter. Downhillers test their skills on one of the three freeride trails and uphillers conquer the Langwiedboden.
WORLD OF PEAKS 3000
- In the National Park Gallery you get wonderful insights into the beauty of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
- In the Cinema 3000 you can experience the Kitzsteinhorn in almost limitless panoramic images on an eight-metre wide screen.
- Breathtaking views without a beamer are offered by the panorama platform Top of Salzburg, which provides a view of Kaprun, the Zeller See and the Kalkalpen.
- The Ice Arena offers daily snow fun: Make yourself comfortable on a lounger on the snow beach and conquer the slides in the summer snow with a bobsled.
