Located on the south side of the Schmittenhöhe, at 1,400 metres above sea level, in the middle of the skiing and hiking area of Zell am See, the Sonnalm is an absolute insider tip. Whether in winter or in summer, there is always something going on here.

The tradition of the Sonnalm is visible from every corner - built by the well-known Kurt Blaickner and carefully modernised by the family and transferred to the present day.

On beautiful winter days you can enjoy the good mountain air and the warming winter sun on our terrace and let yourself be spoilt with Pinzgau delicacies. At a later hour you can make yourself comfortable at the cosy open fireplace or relax in our hot pot in the middle of the snow with an impressive view of the Hohe Tauern mountains.

The discoverer's paradise of the Schmittenhöhe mountain world begins right behind our hotel. With shady fairytale forests, sunny mountain meadows and rest areas with spectacular views there is something for everyone.

Peaceful mountain hiking on the Sonnkogel, the Sallersbachköpfl and the Schmittenhöhe guarantees eventful mountain holidays for young and old, photographers, disc golfers and painters.
